Pastor G. Donald Gay and the spiritual family of the Prayer Center Church of God in Christ, conveniently located in the heart of Chicago's Woodlawn Community at 526 East 67th Street (on the corner of 67th Street and Rhodes Avenue) realize that our primary responsibility is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, to reach the lost and to provide guidance and encouragement to the body of believers. We understand that preaching and hearing the Word of God is only the beginning. For this reason, we offer many services to our members and the people in our surrounding community in response to their spiritual, physical and emotional needs.

Prayer Center is a church with an "open door" policy for all people of all walks of life who can come and live a life with purpose through learning the word of God.

We seek to reach the lost, strengthen the saved and be empowered in the Body of Christ. The church is rooted firmly in the center of God's will and doing the work of the Lord as we await his triumphant return.
